on Accidents and Injuries website, an initiative of the
Working Party on Accidents and Injuries (WP-AI)
The aim of this website is to support public health
activities that seek to reduce all accidents and injuries
in the European Union. This website is targeted at a
broad group of interested parties from injury prevention
experts to stakeholders, from politicians to European
citizens.
Action on Accidents and Injuries is supported
by DG Health and Consumer Protection of the European
Commission.

Kyprianou presents EC vision on injury prevention
at 1st European conference
Speaking at the 1st European Conference on Injury
Prevention and Safety Promotion in Vienna, 25-27
June, Commissioner Kyprianou presented the vision
behind the new EC Communication, 'Actions for a
Safer Europe' and the subsequent proposal for a
Council Resoution. The Communication focuses on
the prevention of accidents and injuries in Europe
which claim the lives of about 235,000 European
citizens every year.
